It's Not All Roses And Sunshine
For some reason there's a misperception that life in Westchester County is perfect. Of course the schools are world class and everyone living here is attractive, but there's a dark side too. Please take a moment to read the first few paragraphs of this article.
Do you see how hard it can be for Westchester families? Here we have people who are forced to dine at the Century Country Club; the unfortunate souls apparently can't even afford membership to Bonnie Briar or Winged Foot. To add insult to injury they are expected to pay two quarters in fines when the clerk, who is probably volunteering at the library, fails to recognize the obvious importance of the book-returning patron and her fundraising family. To top it all off the victim had to call, or have her publicist call, the local paper in order to enlighten the rest of us about the injustice that rocked her to the core.
We live in troubling times.

So great!
I'm guessing there are some serious seeds in that core.
I think I would have been OK with the woman's indignation if they had omitted "rocked to the core" and the amount of the fine. If they just said she had to pay a fine, I might have been inclined to feel sympathetic. Plus that silly picture looks so ridiculously melodramatic. They're really reaching for something to report on there in WC, eh?
don't get me started!!!
