So This Happened

I'm reasonably immune to online advertising, but while checking ye olde Gmail one of the sidebar links caught my eye. Since I can't reveal the content of the email (it was calling related) and don't want to embarras the sender I didn't take a screenshot. However, here is the copypasta:

Really? That was the best match based on the content of an email discussing bishopric assignments? Maybe this work PC has old cookies from a former user on it and she had some unusual browsing habits. However, since I was logged into Gmail, shouldn't it recognize what I'm likely to be interested in based on years of previous use? Shows you how much Google knows.

I don't even write poetry.

Delicious Animals Publicity

I don't have a view on Members Project, but any commercial that mentions animals making you feel guilty for how delicious they are deserves a mention here.

Questions

Does the world really need a $60,000 Hyundai?

What's the target market? People who were going to spend $80,000 on an actual luxury car and want to save a few bucks? Hyundai lovers who were going to buy three Sonatas but realized their garage only had one open bay?

Can anyone explain this to me?
